Our Story

Crafting heritage holidays from a restored timber depot on the edge of a pine valley.

A Depot Built for the Long Season

Depothollowly began when our founder restored an abandoned goods depot outside Asheville and invited a handful of local makers to share the floor. What started as a shared studio grew into a destination for holiday objects built to last.

We work only with materials that age well — mouth-blown glass, unlacquered brass, loom-woven wool, and stone-washed linen. Every item is finished by hand and inspected on the depot floor before it ships.

Our promise is simple: we would rather make fewer, better things that families keep for decades than fill a warehouse with objects destined to be discarded.

Made by Hand

Every ornament, lantern, and vessel passes through a maker's hands. We embrace the natural variation that proves it.

Built to Last

We design for the second generation, not the season. Durable materials, honest construction, repairable finishes.

Responsibly Sourced

We source raw materials from suppliers who share our standards for quality, ethics, and environmental care.

A Small Circle

Our makers are named, paid fairly, and credited. We keep the circle small so the craft stays uncompromised.

Finite by Design

Collections are limited. When a season's run ends, the mould is retired — protecting the value of each piece.

Cared For After Sale

Our care guides and repair service help you keep every piece looking its best for years to come.
